If there is a match, the mentor gets 1% once the company raises at least $500k. - Mentors participate in final selection by voting for founders they'd mentor. - We take 1 month or less to decide who stays. Unlike most accelerators, we have elimination. This lets us offer better funding terms to those who stay. Not all startups need to be VC fundable. More and more don't, and that's fine. - No equity, no capital upfront. For those who make it through the first month, we offer $25-50k at $1M valuation. We don't enforce it. But for many founders this is the difference between building full-time and part-time. For us, it adds skin in the game when deciding who stays. - Weekly office hours and mini demo days with potential angels. - A big Demo Day roughly every 6 months. Though I am growing more skeptical that the FOMO-inducing demo day is necessary vs quietly connecting the best founders with the right funds. What's in it for us?
