Penalty Rush Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 14, 2026

Penalty Rush is a first-person football goalkeeper game. This policy explains what data is collected when you play the iOS, CrazyGames, or itch.io version.

Data We Collect

We collect gameplay data needed to run leaderboards, achievements, and basic analytics: score, wave, saves, streak, run duration, game-over reason, achievements unlocked, bosses beaten, language, platform, share result, and coarse country from Cloudflare request metadata.

If you are logged in to CrazyGames, the game may send a CrazyGames user token to our server. The server verifies the token signature and stores only your CrazyGames user id and display name for leaderboard identity. We do not store the raw token.

On iOS, the game asks Game Center to authenticate the local player. Apple Game Center stores the player's display name and scores for the daily and all-time leaderboards. We do not receive your Apple ID, email address, password, or Game Center country, and we do not send the Game Center player identifier or display name to Cloudflare. The iOS app has no manual name or country form. If Game Center is unavailable, the app creates a local random guest id and a generated goalkeeper name so gameplay is never blocked; online leaderboard participation requires Game Center sign-in.

On itch.io, and on CrazyGames when you are not logged in, the game creates a random guest id. Those browser versions may allow an optional nickname and country for the leaderboard. We do not collect email addresses or ask for a separate Penalty Rush account.

Local Storage and Platform Data

The game stores local progress such as best score, best wave, total saves, unlocked gloves, bosses beaten, achievements, language, sound preference, left-handed mode, and guest id. On iOS this data is stored on the device with Capacitor Preferences; the Game Center display name is read from the system profile and is not editable inside the app. Browser versions may also store an optional nickname and country. On CrazyGames, progress may be synced through the CrazyGames Data module. The itch.io version keeps progress in the browser's local storage.

How We Use Data

We use the data to show daily and all-time leaderboards, calculate achievement rarity, restore your progress, measure game health, detect duplicate score submissions on supported browser platforms, and improve the game. On iOS, leaderboard scores are submitted directly to Apple Game Center.

Sharing

The Share button uses the iOS Share Sheet or your browser's Web Share or clipboard features. We record only whether a share was started, succeeded, or failed. We do not post to social networks on your behalf.

Service Providers

The game is distributed through Apple's App Store, CrazyGames, and itch.io. Apple Game Center hosts the iOS leaderboards. Cloudflare Workers, D1, and Workers Analytics Engine provide analytics, achievement rarity, share telemetry, and leaderboard services for supported browser platforms.

Retention

Apple manages retention of iOS Game Center leaderboard data. Achievement and run telemetry records may be kept while the game is live so abuse prevention, health metrics, and rarity percentages continue to work. Local iOS data can be removed by deleting the app; browser guest data can be reset by clearing site data.

Tracking and Advertising

Penalty Rush does not use advertising identifiers, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
